October 25, 201015 yr We rode the 5MOH on October 16th. Check out the updated story and pics on Utah's Five Miles of Hell. http://utahtrials.com/5moh/5moh.html
October 26, 201015 yr I have wanted to do 5MOH for a long time but have never been able to schedule it when your club does its ride. Would a 65 year old on a TY175 be able to get it done, or am I just dreaming? Anyway its great that you have such a wonderful place to ride. Every time we drive thru Utah on our way to and from Washington I am so impressed with the area that I try talking the wife into moving.
October 26, 201015 yr Author I have wanted to do 5MOH for a long time but have never been able to schedule it when your club does its ride. Would a 65 year old on a TY175 be able to get it done, or am I just dreaming? Anyway its great that you have such a wonderful place to ride. Every time we drive thru Utah on our way to and from Washington I am so impressed with the area that I try talking the wife into moving. I've ridden across it once with a fellow who was riding a 1975 Suzuki. A TY175 would be fully capable of riding doing it, though it wouldn't be easy. The main factor, as is the case with any event, is the rider skill level. On a vintage bike, unless a rider was a very competent Intermediate/Advanced type rider, riding a TY175 might make for a VERY long and possibly unfun day.
October 28, 201015 yr Neat stuff - reminds me of some of our Mountain rides in British Columbia (Andy has pics of one Joss Mountain trip on the Canada section) Thanks for posting Outlaw Dave
November 1, 201015 yr Hi Ridgerunner: Sent you a PM about this ride and others in Utah including Moab. Not sure if you got it or not. Would love to hear back from you if you get a chance. Thanks. Steve
