January 20, 201115 yr Hi Jon, I have run ATF in my Suzuki gearbox without any problems at all. The beauty of ATF is it is so cheap you don't mind changing it often which is good for the gearbox and the clutch.
October 21, 201114 yr Having said that ATF is fine in the gearbox on a Beamish, I have found that on my 325 outfit the clutch judders under the load of 2 people and a chair. It is much better with using the recommended 20/50. I had no problems with ATF in my 250 solo though.
