I've seen a picture of rev 3 timing set up on here, it says 7.5mm from the edge of the bolt to the end of the slot.

Is this the same for stators with 4 coils not earlier six coil setups?

Not to change your subject, but can you tell which ignition is on your bike? Is it Leonelli, Ducati?,Other?

In something of an answer to your question, are there witness marks on your stator, or the old one? Seems for the most part a mm or so makes little to no difference, err to the slow side.

I set my mate 2004 up as the picture says seems much better, but just thought someone else may no for definite.

as i need to set up a 2008 now.

I know this is an old thread but did you ever figure it out? I have an '06 Rev 3 (4 coil) that I just changed the stator on and I'm having trouble narrowing down the timing.
