petrs
Hello, my friend have Sherco 3.2 4T 2007 and have problem with carburetor. If turn with throttle quick, engine stop, but if turn slowly, engine works without any problem. Do you have some advice? : ) Needle is on second notch from top and carburetor is cleaned. Thank you very much, Petr.
sherpa
Sounds like the pilot jet is clogged.
sirhc
On my 07 3.2 I found the stock jetting best with the air screw only 1/4 to 3/4 turn out. Another interesting thing on the '07. It didn't have a drain hole for the spark plug area like the later models do. The plug cap is suppose to be sealed, but it can leak. Make sure there is no moisture down in the plug area, this can make the bike run strange when the water heats up and becomes vapor.

kasti
Does anybody knows, why the idle screw on Keihin PKW 28 carburator is made of plastic and not from some kind of metal??? Mine broke while adjusting .
copemech
Does anybody knows, why the idle screw on Keihin PKW 28 carburator is made of plastic and not from some kind of metal??? Mine broke while adjusting . I have always suspected a weakness there, might try Splatshop Chris, think I seen some metal ones!
splatshop
We do indeed try these: CSP Idle adjuster screw The Keihins used to come with a brass screw but changed to plastic when the chrome slides where introduced, I guess the plastic screw is used because it is cheaper to manufacture and possibly to prevent the chrome slide from getting damaged. We haven't had or seen any damage from using the Aluminium adjuster. Cheers Chris
kasti
Yesterday while riding my Sherco 3.2 (2007) I noticed one thing: when I descenting of the stip hill, with presed clutch and no gas the engine shuts off! After that it is quite hard to restart. I must kick at least 20 times. I know there must be something with the carb, but what??? Thanks in advance for all the advices. Check if you have correct level in float chamber.
