Prices Of New Bikes Today

It is a shame to say that you can still get bikes and parts a lot cheaper from europe...  even though i thought we didn't have a huge tax difference between the EU members.

In July 2003 i bought a new Gas Gas rookie 80 from a company called Garcia motos in Spain, paid for by credit card over the phone took 1 week to come by carrier, bike cost

The above post by coflet is exactly what both myself and neonsurge have suggested should be avoided. We all know that we can "grey import" bikes, thats what knocked the hell out of road bike prices. Problem is, and this has been mentioned, this site is supported by many of the importers, thats what makes it free. They might not be so keen to carry on if they know that TC is inadvertently promoting backdoor grey imports.
