Hi all, ive got a new lower spherical shock bearing to fit on my gas gas txt 1999, now do i need to put any grease or oil on it before i refit it on to the bike or will this atract dust and dirt. Also is it a good idea to take the lower links apart and grease or oil them while ive got the bike apart, what type of grease would be good for the rear linkage.

I would say yes it is best to grease the bearings while you have the linkage apart.

Marine grease is probably the best as it is suggests it is good for items used in water, as the linkage will be either while riding or getting washed
