micknal
Thanks for your offer B40RT but have already ordered one off ebay. Does it matter where it is placed ( as it isn't an original one will not fit in correct place), or wired into the circuit ?? Micknal

micknal
Had another go at starting my problematic M80 this morning. After a bout 10 kicks and nothing I whipped out the plug and it was still dry. A quick squirt of fuel down the plug hole one kick and burst into life. I was still thinking that this is a carby problem as the fuel wasn't getting into the combustion chamber. I took off the float bowl and checked the float height , it did seem rather low so heated up the bowl and tapped the brass float pin housing down a little so that the fuel level in the bowl would be slightly higher. Put it back together , tickled till she flooded and she started first kick , a little hesitant at first but did pick up.Warmed her right up and rode down a local green lane for about 4 miles. Many thanks to the guys who have made some useful suggestions to my problems. Now I would like to ask you all from your experience what would the bike be worth today ?? Its a 1971 M80 with 2 previous owners. It is also fitted with a Sammy Miller Hi Boy frame. Also where would be the best place to sell it. Many thanks Micknal Edited December 10, 2011 by Micknal
