Oil Indicator Bolt Leaking

Featured Replies

Sorry to keep firing questions at you guys but I'm trying to get my head round this.

I've got an oil leak on the gearbox oil level window bolt. I've tightened it a bit but haven't got a torque setting so don't want to go mad.

Is this a common thing? I presume there's a seal on there somewhere that needs changing.

Could someone give me a bit of advice please?

Many thanks guys ,

Steve.

Go onto the Beta website and download the parts PDF.

From this you will see if you have an o ring or other type of seal missing.

Don't risk stripping threads in delicate parts.

Yeah, there's a rubber or fibre washer. Probably best to pop a new one on. That window doesn't need to be super-tight and it is only plastic so won't take too much force to damage.

There you go. I'd use contact cleaner to clean the mating surfaces first as well.
