searay175: got some of that white satin VHT dye/paint and applied it over the weekend. Tank now looks great. Time will tell how long it will last once filled with fuel. Fingers crossed. If it all ends in tears it was at least worth a shot. Thanks again for the tip, and other guys for your opinions. Cheers.

So after time how did it work out for you? As of 5 months now 1 of mine had 1 large bubble and the other stayed on well.
