I just bought a 1974 Yamaha TY 250. Since a young boy, I loved this bike and now voila.

Welcome to the club of Ty250 owners and trials riders.

For specific questions regarding your bike I would suggest in the Yamaha or Twin shock forum in this site.

There is an active trials club in Portland. Google COTA or "Columbia Observed Trials." There are some great people in the club who ride vintage and / or modern trials. There are some awesome places to ride there as well.

I am from the Seattle area, am a member of "Puget Sound Trialers" and also have a TY250A. Look forward to meeting and riding with you some day.

There is a pretty good Vintage trials scene in the Pacific Northwest. First there is the AHRMA vintage trials group that had about 15 events from the Bay area in California to northern Washington. I've also ridden vintage class at modern trials with the Puget Sound Trialers and the COTA club. The COTA club has a trials just south of Portland on Dec. 29th. Check their website for info.
