  1. Its happened to me several times as I have now and in the past owned many 175s it will do it to a 250 also. Take off the rear wheel and swing arm nut wedge the frame open a small amount cut the bolt with a reciprocating saw press out the bushing and what is stuck in it from the swing arm and replace with new parts.you will see in most cases you will not be able to press out the part of the bolt that is left even with heat without squishing the center bushing. Main center bushing 90389-1202-00 Bolt 525-22141-00-00 Swing arm bushings (2) 90386-18028-00. Good luck. Take bolt out once a year and lube it the zerk fitting does not get grease to the center of the bolt/bushing.
  2. Not as likely to get dirt in tank when refueling in a wet and muddy trial
  3. Buy it I have ridden a bike like that it is wonderful.a little soft or flat on the bottom but that is good for traction. Very easy to ride. as far as being a handful, the bike will only do what you make it do. I think the latest 300s are as easy to ride as a 250 just more if you need it.
  4. I agree, I think i have tried them all and just got a 2016 Sherco with the Dunlop GP's on it and love them. Our first trial this year was very icy and saw a lot of people struggle to get traction. I rode well and found some traction when others did not.
  5. I just picked up my 2016 Sherco 300 three days ago and only have 1 hour riding on it at this point. The bike I replaced is a 2012 Sherco 2.9 that I have had for 2-1/2 years. I also had good fortune prior to buying this bike to ride the 2016 300 Scorpa and a Beta 300 Evo 2015. The only place available to ride the Beta was a parking lot, so from the short amount of time I had to ride it I noticed the Beta did not seem to pull as hard down low when accelerating to full throttle, even with the MAP switch set on most aggressive. The Sherco and the Scorpa both feel the same, as should be expected I guess, as the engines are the same. The steering lock to lock is much tighter on both the Scorpa and the Sherco this year as compared to my 2012. To me, it felt like the Beta. As I don't have a lot of time on the Beta, I will compare to my 2012 Sherco. As mentioned, the steering is much tighter, the power is much more linear and smooth with much more right off of idle all the way up into mid range. The balancing on the bike static is much easier on the 2016 than the 2012, as I still have the 2012 and was able to go back and forth to compare. Servicing on the 2016 will prove to be a little bit more effort as the air cleaner is now more like a Gas Gas, i.e., under the (seat). Checking the radiator level is much more time consuming than on the 2012 as the frame wraps around the radiator protecting it much more than in previous years. But, now to check the level, you need to remove the air box, tank and pivot the radiator rearward to get to the fill plug, about a 10 minute job. I don't have a whole lot more to tell you, as I have not had a chance to ride it much, but will be competing on it this weekend and can give you more info if you are interested. So far I am very happy with it.

    2015 Scorpa...

This past weekend i had a chance to ride a 2016 Scorpa 300 back to back to my 2012 Sherco 2.9. It turns much tighter feels smoother and more power as far as the engine. It is easier to ride in a section. I think the rear brakes are better. The map switch seems to make a difference as the 2012 did not seem to make a difference. I didn't think that I would like the gas tank, air cleaner configuration, but did not seem to bother me at all riding it, seemed very much like my 2012 as far as width and feel. Front forks felt very nice. Rear suspension felt about the same as my 2012. Overall, very impressed with the bike. I have been told that the Sherco and Scorpa 300s for 2016 are virtually the same bike other than shape of the front fender, front forks and other minor differences. A friend of mine has a 2015 Sherco 300, which I have ridden quite a bit. The 2016 Scorpa feels very similar in engine performance, but with a tighter turning circle. I was so impressed with the Scorpa I was ready to order on Monday, just to find out none are available for order in my area yet, so I ordered a 2016 300 Sherco, which should be in by November.

    Bar Risers

These are the risers I have used for several years, They allowed me to go to lower bars( the bars in picture are not the ones i have been using) and move them forward some and have made the bike handle better than stock .

    Tubed Or Not

The Problem with a modern tubeless tire on a ty 175 is the rim is 1.85 wide and the rear rim for a twin shock ty 250 is 2.15 the tire will bead up and run at a very low pressure and not slip off the bead but on the 175 narrow rim the bead area is to narrow to keep the tire on the bead at any less then 15 lbs too much for trials you can ride it with low pressure and slightly off the bead but it will tear the tube in time just lace up a 250 rim or any rim 2.15 40 spoke or use the whole twin shock ty 250 wheel. The early trials tires they came with had a muck more narrow side wall bead.
