While having a look at my bike recently I noticed a clean 5x5mm hole near the bottom of my exhaust, There is a similar sized bolt going into the exhaust a couple of inches above it. I was wondering if it's supposed to be like that or do I need to get it patched or something?

    I don't know what bike you have but a pic would help, if it where the silencer fastens to the middle exhaust section then it maybe a bolt has dropped out.

    Mine GG250 04 has a nut & bolt through the top and 2 Allen screws underneath.

    If the Allen bolt is what is holding the silencer on now then just pop a rivet in the hole to blank it off
