Txt 250 Sprockets Not In Line

Recently had my chain come off and lock up on my txt year 2000 which caused a load of damage. After putting it all back together I've noticed the sprockets are miles out of line with each other . So looks like the engine has moved . Has anyone else had this problem and how big a job is it to sort it out. Cheers

I think you need to make sure you have the correct sprockets fitted, I think they should be flat on a 99 model but not sure. have you got the correct wheel and or wheel spacers, the only other things I can think of is bent swinging arm or worn swinging arm bushes.

All fixed turns out swinging arm was bent. Couldn't tell till I put the new one on but it's all straight now. Can anyone tell me what chain I need as mine got destroyed. Bike is running standard sprockets. Thanks for all your help.

Hi

Glad you got it sorted, not sure about the chain, I think mine is 100 link and that's with a 42 /10 set up. but my sons bike has 44 rear sprocket.

I am pretty sure that I bought two 110 link chains last time I replaced them and cut them to suite.

That's a 520 chain.
