Evil Plot To Convert The World To Trials Riding

Featured Replies

  • Popular Post

a few in our club have started an evil (or is it nefarious?) plot to get all motorbike riders around the world to get into trials.

the latest part is a video aimed at riders in their 50s to get into trials instead of (retch) buying a harley or a cruiser. the trials bike bit is the last few minutes.

feel free to pass this to any old codgers you are trying to get interested in trials... there is a small language warning though.

  • thanks pat. i did the latest vid in an atrocious american accent just to spite some yanks who didn't like the way we talk down here around these parts.... :-) it's just a mish mash of our existing vi

hehe, i'm wondering if any older guys will get up in arms about that bit! alan did an incredible job of narrating that vid. basically i just shoved the gopro in his face at the end of a day's riding a

Great Video

Thanks for putting this together to show what you can see and do on a dirt bike it just is so much fun, we do this in NZ

it what weekends are forrrr fun with your mates

Cheers Wakka

First pic is me at 16 (started at 11 and this 43rd yr riding motorcycles) next is at 54 yrs. Still doing same thing but now on my trials bikes I could never afford when younger.

But you can't knock the big Cruiser too much! Heading down the local to meet up on a Sat arvo is still great fun. But Sundays (around 2-3 per month) is for our off-road stuff.

We do love our road bikes... had our first date on one 32 yrs ago!! Still have it!!!

Last pics are my beautiful cruiser.... 26,000 kilometres is 18 months, its my daily rider for errands.

Great video I'm passing link onwards....

great pics, mags. yes i was definitely knocking the cruisers and harleys but definitely tongue in cheek as i was just having a go at mates of mine who ride them. i didn't know the video would get so many hits so i better put another disclaimer in before some hells angels come visiting about my harley references, hehe!

i reckon anyone on two wheels has found their own little slice of heaven, whether it's a scooter, cruiser, harley or a trials bike (with the exception of bultacos of course).

All I can say is the fact that Bultaco`s are perfection and heaven all rolled into one bike. You can`t deny the results from the mid sixties, the seventies and the early eighties. :moon:

hehe, that's what all the bultaco riders in our club say too! as a relative trials noob i've argued on both side just to up the (er, mostly friendly) rivalry.

I still remember a Bultaco incident to this day...

I was fanging round our local ride area (a disused quarry with adjoining scrub) in my Honda CR125 Elsinore days (15 yrs old) and a guy on a Bultaco Persang rode in and whip our backsides in speed and talent.

He never stopped so we could see who he was.... he rode in once, twice a month whipped us and left.... us young fellas gave him a nickname, MR. Motocross!!!

Damn those Bultacos!! Hehehehehehe

Brilliant vid! made me smile, it's all so true!

For some reason the pics I did above didn't load into thread and even when logged in I can't view them? Same for others???

this is our next step in the evil plan to convert the world to trials. we had a usa rider visit and he said trials is extremely rare in america. he did a voice over for us and we stitched together this vid which he is going to promote around the states on forums etc.

it's a lot more popular in the UK isn't it? i was thinking of getting one of our resident poms to do an english voice over but i figure trials is widespread in the UK, and the scenery is so obviously not the UK in the vid!

Europe is the biggest following (?) going by the World Champs and many vids I watch... and then there is the Spiritual Home of Trials, Scotland! Love the SSDT in the spirit of the 1910 era.

Love to see the sport get a good enough following in Brisbane that we could a 5-10 acre practice ground that is not 2 hrs drive! All that industrial land laying waste at Fisherman's Island... but oh no! Don't ride there or we'll put you in jail, take your bike or give you a massive fine or all of the preceding!!!

I'm not a criminal you idiots (guys in gov depts).... I just wanna practice my trials for my health and mental wellbeing! Its not complex.

For those that don't know... Australia is the size of the USA and only has 21 mill people in it, not 300 mill like USA.... we are NOT allowed to ride a trials bike in any area that is NOT private property.

And the Gov was kids out from behind puter screens!!! Yeah right!

Ok! Off my soapbox now...
