August 7, 201412 yr Does anyone know of of the heldun make of trials bike, I have a 50cc Sachs engined twin shock bike that my cousins and I learnt to ride on in the late 60's early 70' s, any information would be of great help in its restoration, thanks fitzg
August 7, 201412 yr Yes I remember one that Donald Buchan rode in the SSDT and finished in the mid 60's I have a picture of it but it is a slide and cannot get it on here as I would need the slide scanner to work on the new system I am now using
August 9, 201412 yr Helduns were made in the Birmingham area I think, in mid to late 60s. They did a scrambler and a road racer as well as a trials bike, all of 65cc I recall. I believe the trials version was called the Heldun Hammer, perhaps the only bike to be named after the trials rider's tool of choice.
