dfwilson
The manual calls for a Champion RC 89PYC. Any one get good performance with other brands? Thanks Doug Wilson

mikeid
Glad to help out! I did some experimenting with them and the NGKs. Liked the Bosch better. Try it and see. May need to fiddle with the carb a bit, of course at your altitiude bikes probably run like they are on nitro! I'm not the end-all-be-all authority, but that was my experience. I run 50/50 race gas/premium unleaded. Needle all the way down. 3,000-6,000 feet normal running range on bikes. Mike
lastplacebrad
Hey DFW , i run an NGK BKR8EIX iridium plug in my SY250 and it works great, the iridium tip is real tiny and as a result gives a good spark at lower rpm ideal for trials, starts well with it in too .
