January 12, 201511 yr Hi, Can any one point me in the right direction on my fan not kicking in, Is there a procedure on what to do first. All wires are connected. Is there only 3 things Fan, rectifier, thermostat. Thanks Deano.
January 12, 201511 yr Hi, what you can do and it worked ok on my sons beta is to link out the two wires connected to the thermostat. This basically makes the switch and the fan should come on straight away. If it doesn't then its not the stat and is probably the fan. If it is the stat my sons beta stat was about £20. Regards Magsy

January 12, 201511 yr Yep, I use this method all the time when repairing boilers to rule out dodgy stats and sensors. Its only making a connection and switching power to the fan.
January 12, 201511 yr It's standard for most of the guys who I have trailridden on trials bike with to carry a piece of wire with terminals on both ends for bypassing the thermoswitch in the event of a failure The second the bike is running the fan will run which in theory makes the engine take longer to reach operating temperature but in reality I've never noticed any real difference in how the bike runs with the thermoswitch bypassed
