Jumbo Skid Plate

Featured Replies

About 20% into my Jumbo 350 project when I bought someone else's 85% finished project.  I'll finish it first and then eventually get to the original one.

Unfortunately I must have mistakenly deleted all my tear down photos and will probably be poking in occasionally with questions. I looked all over the web but can't find a pic of the skid plate rear mount. I got a new plate from Martin which would crash into the engine case unless there are spacers between the rear mount and the plate. I'm figuring about 12mm of space is needed. Is this right? Am I missing something? Any help w

Thanks in advance

Don't worry, you're not the only one not happy with the fit and I don't really want to make a spacer block for the rear 3 bolt mounting point. I was in email contact only last week with Martin regarding this issue and he is looking for a solution, they are fabricated in Italy I believe, so no fault of Martins.

Thanks fourex. That confirms my suspicion. I still have the original beat up skid plate and the cracked engine cases that went with it, so I'm good with making up a spacer.
