July 19, 201610 yr Hi, Im in the process of rebuilding the wheels on my 81 TLNW 320. What I forgot to do before stripping them was to check if the rim was in the middle of the hub or offset to one side. Anybody able to help ? Thanks, Phil
September 1, 20169 yr Im getting some work done now and they used one wheel as a template so its been all specced up. Will share this with you but wont be till next week.
September 2, 20169 yr Just rebuilt a rear Bultaco. Can you not fit the hub back in the swingingarm, check chain alignment and then find the hub centre in the arm?
September 4, 20169 yr Author Hi Petorius, I dare say there are ways and means but I thought that I am not the first person to rebuild some SWM wheels and someone out there would know the answer. For the record, I centred the rims, the rear looks fine but the front is just a bit too close to the righthand fork leg. Not much in it, about 5 mm is all it is. Could also be my bad centre calculation. Ciao, Phil
October 11, 20169 yr sorry didnt get back to you - turned out the wheel was f#$ded so i bought a fantic 84 wheel - didnt measure but looks like the off set is equal
