July 20, 201610 yr 661 gel pads. Used them for cycling, trials and enduro and tested against a 4t exhaust. No injury. 5 star product. Wouldn't leave home without them.
July 21, 201610 yr Everyone I know uses standard MX style knee pads. I hit one hard enough to crack the hard plastic on the outside so it seems like a good idea to have it there.
July 21, 201610 yr I use the Forcefield ones, very comfy and £75 Good protection too, saved my knees and shins a few times
July 21, 201610 yr I use cut down Wulf knee guards with padding and a hard plastic back. Some of this "padding" wont help at all landing on rocks with your weight on it. The hard plastic backing is a must
August 20, 201610 yr Fox enduro mtb pads are much slimmer than the above ones, I use them. I have both. The bulkier ones will not fit under trials Lycra
August 20, 201610 yr I went for these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201101920942?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&var=500277234657&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
August 23, 201610 yr Anyone have suggestions for combo knee/shin protections and support? I have to wear knee support (has aluminum side hinges)for Meniscus issues. I have to prevent any knee twisting or side pressure....but I would also like additional knee cap and shin protection. Sucks getting old, but I'd rather ride with support as needed and a bit of pain during and after than sitting still.
