September 13, 20169 yr Newbie from Inverness Scotland . Hi guys just bought my first trials bike in over 20 years . From the highlands of Scotland and picked up a 2002 sherco 250 . Needs little bit of work but what bike doesn't . Have been more into motocross but decided to re-live my youth and buy a trails bike . Used to have some when I was around 10-15 years old on my parents croft . Looking forward to advice and info from this forum . Cheers

September 23, 20169 yr Hi and welcome! Nice to see another highlander im from Inverness myself. I had a 2002 Sherco few years back which my 1st trials bike and liked it very much but then i went away from that to Downhill mountain biking for a few years but now back to trials. Currently have 2 x Montesa 315r's and a 2015 4rt.
September 23, 20169 yr Are any of you in the idmcc I am planning joining in the new year but very new to trials first bike in may at 31 years old really wanting someone to ride with and give me pointers noone really in my area does trials
September 23, 20169 yr Hey I'm just a novice to be honest I just go out and trek about really! I was looking to join up myself idmcc but every time there seems to be something on I'm either offshore or just about to travel offshore a day or so later so not a good idea me doing anything just incase the worst happens! Maybe be able to sort something out sometime get a ride out! You got somewhere through your way to go?
September 23, 20169 yr Yeah I have a couple of places but very limited obstacles noone has chased me from yet I was ment to ride at tain but car was off the road so missed it got my eye on a beginners day at tain in December
September 23, 20169 yr Ah right cool that's good got couple of places! I was up at one of the beginners days a while ago after speaking to Gary at HLS but just watching with a mate pretty good place!
September 23, 20169 yr Yeah I saw Gary and he took my number and stuff but missed it due to my car I have my boy every second weekend but up for a ride out or something at somepoint
September 23, 20169 yr Aye Gary is a sound guy the 4rt i have was actually his own bike which he done a good bit of work too make it better than when it came out the factory. Yeah should be able to sort something out when home offshore for next few weeks yet! Cheers
