jimpo Posted November 19, 2005 Report Share Posted November 19, 2005 Can anyone tell me the purpose of the vents in the rear mud guard.Can they be blocked off, looks like they could cause problems with water getting into the air filter and box. outlaw dave Posted November 25, 2005 Report Share Posted November 25, 2005 I think you should give the factory some credit - they are experienced ex World Round riders - they still ride the Scottish and they certainly would n't put vents in the rear mudguard if it was going to cause big problems - just like on the Gas Gas the problem comes from the rider when he or she washes the bike without first covering the vents and plugging the muffler.
