stefan_s Posted June 25, 2017 Report Share Posted June 25, 2017 I just got a new sets of plates for the clutch, problem is the old set is 18 plates in total, the original set is 10 plates. Old plates is without lamina. Thickness of old set is 21mm, new set is18,2mm. I guess previous owner has changed the whole clutch basket, or is it possible to use almost 3mm thicker set of plates in original plate holder? If it is exchanged, what model can it be from? swmtf3 Posted June 25, 2017 Report Share Posted June 25, 2017 Not sure, but maybe the fibre plates bite better than the all steel set up and therefore don't need as much spring tension hence the smaller stack height?
