Fantic Ignition

Featured Replies

From the few post I've read here there seems to be a lack ignition parts available.

My 1991 309 mysteriously lost its spark. Stator resistance readings were good, all grounds were clean of paint and tight and white to red, white to green wires produced a voltage when spun over.

So I went for the ignition coil CDI unit.

Found out the stator and CDI coil units were Ducati.

Did a web search and found a scooter parts supplier that had the parts. Ordered the coil unit, installed it and started on the first kick.

My point here is alot of the Fantics and maybe other older bikes used ignitions that were also used on Scooters.

The Coil CDI unit was alot less than from the bike dealer.

CDI Coil

They also have a stator that looks the same as the one on my 309.

Stator

I thought this might help.

Wow that's some good prices.

The Mecetechno Amigo/ Alivin also uses the Ducati Ignition.

(Like any one else has one out there!)
