Must not miss 2/3 trials in 2018/19

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have just introduced the Mrs to camping and it was successful even with high winds and thunderstorms. So i am just wondering what big event/2/3 day trials people would recommend going to for the remainder of 2018 & 2019?

Willing to travel a few hours on a Friday afternoon/night.

I am currently not road legal but plans are in place to be so soon and riding mid table at most local clubman events.

Already got a Reeth 3 day number for 2019 (canceled due to fire risk 2018)

So what/where does every one recommend?

Alwinton 2 day, 22nd and 23rd June 19, 25-30 miles 1 lap with 30 sections each day and no road work.

Not strictly a 2 day trial but if the 2 S3 rounds in wales run together a gain then a cracking weekend - Powys and Lomax

If your over 40 a couple of double header Normadales worth doing

Longmynd run by South Shropshire is also a good event

For 2019 there is the Richmond Club Blue Bar 2 day trial sometime in May. There are 2 big laps of 20/22 sections on Saturday and similar on Sunday. Camping from Friday and Burger bar there. There is usually some entertainment on Saturday night.

Old Bikes, New Bikes, young or OLD, they all ride the SAME sections.

@johnsandywhite is the blue bar trial not over 40 or old bike ? I.e. Under 40 must ride an old bike? If not I'll be a there.

Some great suggestions I'll get them booked in. ?

No jossysouter. I have ridden it twice at 72 & 73 years old riding a Sherco 300. Friend Allan Richardson has ridden it for YEARS and varies between an old Greeves and a more modern bike. He is now 60 years old.
