September 23, 20187 yr if they are the ones with a nut in the top of the fork cap, we used to put a longer stud in and a spacer and this extended the whole fork at the expense of rigidity. If the fork bushes are in good nick they will be OK for quite a while. If they are the heavy weight version best plan is to throw the stations away and machine up some decent forks to fit in the bottoms
September 25, 20187 yr Why do you want longer Stantions and Springs, are you thinking it will give you more travel...? ( cos it won't.) The travel distance is set in the slider, being the distance between the bump-stop and the upper bearings. Maybe you just want to convert your bike to an Easy Rider type Chopper..?
