Carb arrived yesterday, fitted it and the motor strted first kick, seemed ok apart from a flat spot/hesitancy just off tickover when you snap the throttle open. checked the timing, fine 2-3 hours of fiddling up a notch down a notch and its still the same, so I phoned Surrey Cycles explained the problem. They diagnosed that i need to change the slide up one size to a size 3, it arrived in the post today so I hope to fit it tonight.

Spec as delivered

22mm carb

no 2 slide

106 needle jet

needle on centre groove

Apart from the flat spot the motor seems tu pull much better through the range flat spot is most apparent when you crack the throttle open from idle.
