May 3, 20197 yr Has anyone bought or made cushioned or rubber mount handle bar risers for trials? I have the Beta Factory fork clamps so do have removable risers. I'm already running Jitsie bars which flex more than the OEM Beta bars. The KTM PHDS mounts certainly look like they would fit but the official email response was "no". I also would not know what model to order. https://www.motosport.com/ktm-powerparts-phds-handlebar-mounts Mako 360 is another option but I have not gotten a response from them. https://xcgear.com/mako-360/ Flexbars look like they move in just one plane so when pushed forward trials style probably would not help much. https://www.fasstco.com/ I also have a rev 3 with cast in clamps but don't know how you could do those without changing the top clamp.
May 3, 20197 yr I did have my KTM PHDS mounted on my Sherco with CSP triple clamps. The CSP bar clamps mount with a single bolt passing through the bottom of the top clamp threading into the bar clamp. So I taped out the holes in the top clamp to fit the bolts for the PHDS. I was able to use a washer to fit in the alignment channel in the bottom of the PHDS to have a better contact area then just the 2 tabs. Tightening down bar mounts so everything is square was a little tricky but not to hard. Mount bars and good to go. If I was going to use the permanently. I would have taken them to a machine shop to have them mill a mating tab to match up with the channel in the PHDS clamp. I played around with it a little on the sherco but didn't give it a good go. Just like on the KTM. I couldn't tell the difference between the PHDS and stock while riding but am sure I had less wrist pain after a day of riding. I have since sold the PHDS clamps with the KTM.
May 4, 20197 yr Author Thanks for the reply. Do you know which model of the PHDS clamps you used? It looks like there are 2. It looks like the 790 fits with bolts coming up from the bottom but I don't know if the picture is correct.
