Crank shaft seals

Featured Replies

Hi everyone.

help please I have a Sherpa 151 model. Is it the 2 seals or 4 seals from inmotion  for this model

greg

Look at what's fitted before you order as engine components changed a few times in the early 70s so you need to know which is in there. Not only the size but quantity as well, some have 1 some have 2 per side

It will be the 4 seals from In Motion you need. Insert these seals back to back so they face in different directions. I always have the spring side facing towards the out side of the seal carrier on both sides of the carrier.

Thanks guys. It was confusing because there was only one fitted again thank you

If you look closely at the old seal you will find it is a double lipped seal. The new ones are only a single lipped seal which is why you need two of them facing in opposite directions. The old one is about 14mm wide and the new single ones are 7mm wide.
