Hi Guys, I have just replaced an old wheel on one of my bikes with a brand new one, as the old one was going rusty on the rim and spokes.

Would there be any problem with painting the new wheel with Clear Coat Spray, so that it would last longer (over 30 years) than the previous wheel..?

I have used this petrol proof spray on freshly painted fuel tanks, and it has given good results.

Clear coat paint on rims usually gets chipped in use and then looks pretty bad. TY twinshock Yamahas had clear paint on the rims and fork sliders from new and it chipped very quickly and looked unsightly.
