March 1, 200620 yr does anyone know what the torque setting is for the flywheel nut on a 2000 rev 3. I,ve read some of the posts about shearing the woodruf key, now i'm worried.up till now i've just done it up very tight.
March 1, 200620 yr Don't know about Beta's, my Sherco's 72 ft/lbs, can't imagine the Beta's much different.
March 2, 200620 yr I read on the SSDT prep list that the flywheel needs to be done up to just over 140 Nm which was is a helluva lot if you try it, i set a torque wrench and no matter how much i tried i couldn't quite get it to this so i whacked it a couple of times with a rubber mallet, i was having trouble keeping the flywhhel from turning. March 2, 200620 yr The torque value I have for a 2003 Rev3 is 140Nm, or 103ft/lbs. Another method is to tighten it 'til it breaks, then back off half a turn (experience talking here). Cheers, Richard
