Does anyone have a fairly decent barrel only for sale?

Plenty barrel/pistons for sale, but piston is fine. Just a barrel needed.

Bad grammar

If you're going for a barrel only, bear in mind that Beta bores are graded (A, B, C, D, from memory). So if you're hoping to re-use your piston you'll need a barrel of the same grade.

I see a 'b' on the piston

That's a dashed shame.  But I think it is worth trying to repair that.  Maybe attach a piece with low temperature welding rod on the outside.  Doesn't have to seal, just attach.  Then fill the groove with something square like a piece of rubber and apply JB weld to the gap. Surface on some wetndry.   

 

The outside of the groove is only at water temperature

I may try that down the line Dave. Meantime I've got another matched barrel and piston coming. If I can fix it, will be worth having as a spare because the barrel is spotless besides this pain in the ass 🤣

That's it, and it will have the same on the barrel somewhere. If it's been re-nikasiled, the old grade should be obliterated and a new one stamped beside it.
