New to me. Gas gas txt300

Good evening. Thank you for accepting me. I've been practicing trials riding since I was 8 years old, always with Bultaco. My last bike was a Sherpa 350. Now, at 56 years old (oops!), I'm getting back in the saddle. I bought a Gas Gas TXT300R, disassembled. I found that the kickstart pinion is bad, as is the drive pinion. I've already ordered the replacement parts. I'll finish putting it together this week. Otherwise, it's pretty complete. I have a question about the VIN.
