Struggle with Technical Data for Sherco X Ride 290 2017-2018

Hello everyone. My first post on a forum. I'm pleased to find you here.
I have recently purchased a Sherco 290 x-ride. The bike was 2017 m.y, stored, never used, no mileage on clock. So I got it assembled and completed. We didn't touch oils and fluids at first, just doublecheck, it was there. So, somehow we ended up with a cold seizure. It happened instantly.

So, I bought a used cylinder and barrel from the UK, with decent condition, and now I'm on a second run to try to get it run.

But, I'm already scared enough and don't want to do anything stupid again. I also found out there was no fluid in the hydraulic clutch. I have no specifications for: 

1. Jetting settings for keihin 28 mm carb,

2. Data for fluids for hydraulic clutch and ext,

3. Oil specs for gearbox,

4. Engine tolerances to double check measurements (cylinder gap, ring gap, squish). Also a new cylinder came w/o cutouts on the barrel for small O rings and I'm going to use brass O rings on top of the head to prevent coolant leak,

5. Don't know coolant specifications either,

6. Going to try 50:1 mixture fuel to oil.

No I can't, I did check it for several times. 

My bike identifies as a trial, according to the VIN number but there is a lot of difference. 

I’m blaming the carb, it was running on lean and that caused a cold seizure. I have no data on factory settings.

I like this bike, it's a bit different. I'm going to keep it in along term and that's why I'm trying to find out all potential issues.

Does it have the same transmission ratios as the trials engine?

The only way to find it out is to compare. I have no data about it. The bike feels super light and well balanced. 

I already assembled the engine back, currently I need to adjust a squish clearance for 1.2 mm. It was 0.9. I ordered 2X0.4 gaskets on top of 0.5 base gasket.

Also, the piston feels a bit lightweight and I'm wondering about engine balance.

Is your bike a 2t-290, or the 4t-125 as 2t was 2013 & 2014, and 4t from 2016 and called TY125, but you mentioned 2017.

Sherco website has broken link for X-Ride 2t-290 manual but try manualslib .com. MIght have another link on file if that doesn’t work.

Thank you so much for link, I get the manual, close one just with the delorto carb, I have the keihin and r16v shocks, other looks exactly the same.

It's a X Ride 290 2017-2018 

VIN: VNBXR29TRGA03236

So, it starts :

(1-3 digits) - "VNB" indicates the vehicle was made in Spain;

(4-9) - VDS follows "XR29TR", where XR could be a model, 29 engine and TR stands for category (as I assume);

The 10th digit - "G" shows the model year 2016;

The 11th digit - "A" indicates the specific manufacturing plant.

I found a parts diagram for x-ride, Googled, put the effort, had a hard time and now I got a PDF, able to find the parts, but still don't have a manual.

I'm just upset that it has not been provided on the official web site. Simple, that's a data just missing.

Also, I'm using settings from a 2014 trail bike with 2.9 engine, for jetting the keihin carb. The pilot was 42 instead of 48 and I think it caused a cold seizure. Main Jet was in spec (125) and a needle was on 3rd instead of 5th position.

So, I ordered the jet pack and I will provide the results once I'll get it right.

Have you tried contacting the Sherco factory direct?  A few years ago, I purchsed a 2001 Beta Rev3 and could not find documetation.  I emailed the factory.  They sent me photocoppies of the owners manual and parts list.
