New factory sincro

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Anyone out there riding a 26 factory Sincro 250. Just wondering how they run in comparison to the superseded evo. My bike seems very rich and gassed up on the first part of throttle, cleans up nicely on quarter throttle all the way up but very fluffy down low. Leaned the pilot circuit right out on mixture screw but still not as clean as I’d like. Anyone else finding the same

If Lampkin did not have an answer except lowering the ports /increasing the compression slightly by putting a thinner base gasket in , on this point be careful as you need the squish to be sufficient so that the piston does not strike the head , then you have to try tuning the carburettor yourself .

If your plug is wet and oily or black and sooty then you will not have the best of spark at the plug that also will not help your pick up off the bottom. Running around at low revs with a rich jetting or too much oil in you fuel will not help this. Remove the plug and clean it regularly to make sure it is going to give a good bright spark .

Make sure you do not over oil your air filter as you will slow the air flow.

You can buy a selection of 10 PWK pilot jets on Ebay for about £10 for tuning purposes . You can find out how to tune PWK carb on youtube.

If you are looking for an easy fix perhaps you may find it on the SINCRO owners club on FB.
