  1. Quarter fill the grip with petrol, pour petrol over handlebar, and immediately slide on, sounds drastic but works a treat.
  2. If anyone out there is looking to have their barrel repaired, try Langcourt at Weston-Super-Mare(advertises in Trials & Mx news). I had a cracked barrel which had been botched by a previous owner, I sent the barrel down to Langcourt (I live in the north east of Scotland) and received it back 2 days later. The standard of the repair is excellent (I thought it was a new one!) and the engine now no longer consumes 9 gallons of water everytime I start it up, the cost?

    Techno 97

After losing coolant with no external leaks, I've pulled the head and barrel. A previous repair has impinged into the groove for the inner o ring seal (between head and barrel) which is where I suspect I'm losing water. I want to get the barrel repaired, and looking in Trials & Mx news Langcourts and Jetbore leap to mind - has anyone got any suggestions or recommendations? and does anyone have the Torque settings for the barrel and cylinder head? Thanks for any advice

Hello, just bought a 97' 250 techno which I'm in the process of getting ready for my first trial. The fork seals need replacing so i'm stripping the forks - what weight fork oil do you guys use and how much in each leg? There is an adjuster on top of the right fork - presumably rebound damping - any ideas? - thanks
