Well, I got there, finally. And a great show for old men, and a few younger ones as well. Great atmosphere, lots of friendly people and a few old celebrities. Old and new stuff everywhere, but perhaps a bit more crap and rusty frames then expected. Not that many new bikes, almost no new works machinery and almost no e-bikes. I am not critical, just observing and getting a bit surprised, but still rather satisfied on my drive back to London and a late flight home. And Telford centre ....... even uglier than I remembered. After years of "development", time has come to demolish some of the offices from a couple of decades back to make room for …

It’s rumoured that Local Councils are going to capitalise on a new venture involving a small entry fee to use some of their better potholed and crumbling roads as Trials sections. Only road registered machines can take part and no stakes to mark sections to be used so cones instead. Obviously some Local Authorities will have more challenging courses to set out but depth of some potholes could see some drowned engines/competitors. Observers must wear dayglo raincoats and know how to operate a hand held traffic sign. Courses in competent operation to be provided in due course. Any competitor being fived due to baulking by other traffic will at the discretion of the clerk of…

Teresa May, Jeremy Hunt and several cabinet colleagues were watching Emmerdale on TV, believing that studying people in a Yorkshire village would enable them to connect with voters better and win the next election. Their hopes were dashed on Monday night when Jimmy King got a home visit from a GP. They then realised Emmerdale was actually fiction and not a real village.

I am a bit reluctant buying air tickets, train tickets (or rent a car), hotel and two days entry tickets plus a few pints, going all the way from Sweden to Telford. Perhaps it is a well spent couple of hundred pounds, but I don't know, having never visited this show before. What do you veterans of the show have to say, go or save, staying at home in the dark and snow....?? Please, give me your honest opinion!

A policeman was patrolling late at night in a well-known lover’s spot, famous for obscene activities. He spots a couple in a car, with the interior light brightly glowing. The policeman carefully approaches the car to get a closer look, he finds a young man behind the wheel, watching a video on a computer. In the rear seat is a young girl, knitting. Puzzled by this surprising situation, the cop gently raps on the driver’s window. The young guy lowers his window. “Oh, yes, officer?” The policeman asks: “What are you doing?” The young guy says: “Well Officer, I’m watching something on computer.” Pointing towards the young girl in the back seat the c…

This elderly lady Breanna goes to the doctor for a control. Everything check out fine. Breanna comes closer to the doctor and says in a low voice, “Doctor, I haven’t had sex for ten years now and I was wondering how I can increase my husband’s sex drive.” The doctor smiles and says, “Have you tried to give him Cialis or Viagra?” Breanna frowns. “Doctor, I can’t even get him to take an aspirin when he has a headache,” she claimes. “Well,I see…” The doctor continues, “I have an idea about it. Crush the pill into a powder. When you are giving him coffee, stir it into the coffee and serve it. He won’t notice a thing.” Old lady Breanna is delights…

So, as life would have it, I have been shopping and doing research on a new bed. There is a lot of BS in this market with air beds, water beds, memory foam beds and spring beds with all combinations. Some cost as much as my car! I have also discovered Latex foam beds that are not not common here in the US, yet are highly rated it seems and reported to be more common in the euro region. They are not cheap, possibly twice the cost of some memory foam units. They are made modular and in your own preferred layers of density. As an added plus, the spouse side can also be adjusted for preference by changing layers. Most of these are sold on line here, with e…

There is a new law coming in for mainland UK (on Monday 10 April 2017) that will allow roads to be closed for all kinds of motorsport events. Perhaps not directly relevant but the article (below) noted 'an overwhelming public response' in favour of closures for motor sport. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-39539368

oni nou? Is there something to this screen name? It is a bit odd, but I am not trying to be derogatory, just curious, as it is sort of an odd name at least in these parts. Excuse my ignorance, as I am just asking. I do seem to like and agree with most his input on these forums. It simply makes me wonder. Then there are others like "spen" same question here. I mean, it's not Spen, you know, it's spen. Perhaps it is just me? I may need to change mine to "hashtag FO" AS THE OLDER I GET THE MORE I TELL FOLKS TO F.O.!
