Since 1974, I've owned Yamahas, Betas, Fantics and Gas Gas's. Due to a job move, I've been bikeless for a year, but am getting ready to order a new '08. I've always been a guy who kept a bike for awhile, and with the prices going the way they are, that will be even more true. I've ridden all the bikes and have watched them work in the sections so have a pretty good handle on what each of them are about. I loved my GG321 but I'm not a fan of the GG PRO, too fragile and I hate the kick starter. GG's seem to be turning into a ride it a year, then throw it away bike. Just couldn't get on with the Scorpa. Just didn't look right to me and they seem to start looking …

This new Xispa 250 trials bike, looks like a carbon copy of a Sherco to me Where is it made ? and by who ?

I have 2 new Dunlop D803 Tubeless tires and it seems impossible to mount these without tearing the bead.. It appears that they are just a tad undersized. Has anybody else had any isses with the D803 and getting them mounted without ruining portions of the bead area? I have installed dozens if Michelins without issues but this is my 1st Dunlop and I am struggling.. Just curious as if anybody else has had issues with this tire? Thanks

Here in the US Nationals a Stop with Foot Down = 1. To me this is a 5. No balance no motion = 5 I challenge anyone to explain why this is not a five. Please someone defend this rule.

Judging by the comments on numerous posts in this forum, there are widely varying ideas of how often gearbox oil should be changed. That's also reflected in many adverts for secondhand bikes. So I thought I would try to get a better handle on the subject: How often do you change your gearbox oil? What is the reason for choosing that interval? Which oil do you use?

I just got a Shiro helmet and the ventilation system really works. It is the coolest helmet I have worn. The lining also has a cool wicking feeling. The fit is similar to a Bieffe but I needed one size larger. It is a nice helmet but.........look what it says on the box.

Hi Guys Reading About all these thefts recently just wondered what everybody is using to secure their bike i am currently using 4 oxford chains and 2 ground anchors, however after watching a few videos it seems some chain can be pick,smashed,or frozen to release the locks looking at getting a almax chain they look like the market leaders..... other than a 12 bore or electrifing the door not sure what else to do ???

are the two holes on either side of the drain bolt on these carbs ment to align with the two slots inside the float bowl? if this is the only access for fuel to pass into the main jet,then i might have found the fuel starvation problem ive having on my 11raga. i took it apart for inspection/cleaning when i saw this,when the bolt is tight,the holes dont line up with the slots.i made new holes and i will try it tomorrow.

The other morning my wife said to me "I was thinking of a "ROCK GARDEN" in the corner of the property. My ears perked up! and my eyes got really big! and I yelled OK!!!! My wife's head dropped into her hands as she realized what she had just done. So guess who has not been able to sleep the past two nights! After research and deliberation I opted for a Beta Rev 3 250, I tried finding a 200 but had no luck there. Initially I fancied a twin shock, poss an old TY175 or Fantic 200 but the consensus was that something modern would be easier to learn on. Most road bikes I’ve had have been 4 stroke, I’m a Harley lover and have had 5 over the years and as far as two strokes go I’m a fan of old Lambrettas of which I own one (1961 vintage with tuned motor). Who is the Sportsman class really aimed at? With my very limited experience of trials i assumed non-competitive, new or older riders wanting a non dangerous ride. But i keep seeing what look like rather good riders taking the class very serious. This doesn't bother me at all, but am a bit botherd when i hear them complaining it was ''too easy'' and see they drop very few points. If organisers heed thier complaints and make sections more difficult where do riders like myself (frankly a bit rubbish!) or new riders go?? Hi, Air has been leaking through where the spokes go into rim, have checked spoke tension and used silicon over topof spokes inside rim, but air is still leaking. Has anyone had this problem and is there a better cure than the silicon trick has this has not worked. thanks in advance

One of the selling issues I always used when approaching land owners for potential riding areas was how quiet Trials bikes were...and they were. That always boded well when I was showing trials videos to the land owners. BLM really liked that. None of my two stroke Fantics, Beta's or GAS GASES were loud. I could ride in the back yard and the neighbors usually didn't know I was out there. The two strokes were the quietest motorized competition machines on wheels. That helped keep us less hated in the woods too with the other types of recreation. Can't use that argument now days though. I'm not a novice to bikes, having raced motocross for 25 years, but am certainly completely new to Trials having never lifted a leg over a Trials bike. So, in my quest to find a decent second hand machine I have come across a 2009 Sherco 290 that someone local to me owns and has genuinley never used so it's as good as new. Looks great, sounds great and seems to ride fine given the short pootle up and down his driveway. i'm very tempted as will be a genuine bargain but my concern is that it will just be too much bike for my zero Trials experience. My plan will be to practice for a few months and then enter a few club trials - i certainly have no plans for World …
