heya, just been to my first trial, knocked the chain off and realised i didnt have the right tools and had to borrow them! what tools should i take with me? thanks alfie

Although I've been riding on roads and trails for over 40 years, I've never been on a trials bike. I think I would like to try the sport, but I'm not sure where to start to look for a bike. I'll appreciate your suggestions . . . keeping in mind that: (1) I'm 60 years old and don't plan on being in competitions - I just want to learn some fun, recreational skills; (2) I'm 6' 4" tall; (3) I weigh 225 pounds in my riding gear; and (4) my boot size is US 14. I am new to trials riding and i have been looking for a trials helmet! what sort of makes would you recomend and my price range is around

I forgot what tube size to use to fit my new tubeless tyre onto the rim. Me mate says 16" but i thought 18". Thanks

I'm thinking of re-painting the clutch cover, water pump cover and cylinder head on my 2012 sherco as some of the paint has chipped and worn and doesnt look good. What paint do you reccomend i use to give the most hard wearing finish possible? enamel? powder coating? any other paints? Thanks.

Ok so the tyres now need replacing, what is the best tyre to buy that is tough? i curently have the michelen x11 that the bike came with and they have split alot in a short time. im only a novice rider so light thin tyres dont really matter. Thanks Ben

What was the answer to the twin shock book comp ? Who won ? Did you get loads of entries ?

Just being nosey.... Mine was just after i started riding, I was at a trial with the Huddersfield Falcons on my Twin shock Bultaco. Going round a tree at the top of a steep decent, sharp left turn downhill. Just as I went over a large tree root the front wheel went onto full lock and started to go end over end. I just lept upwards and grabbed a branch as the bike went down the banking flipping about 4 times. I was left dangling at the top and all the bike got was a broken clutch lever! There was no way I was going down there with it and the people at the botton were left laughing at me hanging in the tree!

Interested to gauge opinion here ...... If you were looking at buying a 2016 model bike what would you buy and why ? I'm looking at buying a bike next year and want a new one (it's nice to treat yourself) the Montesa's look nice but are out of my price range. (I Had a bounce on one at the NEC yesterday) I had been looking at Shercos as I liked the look of them and the price, but also had a go on a beta on the try trials area (albeit a 125) And it got me thinking .... By the looks of it the beta is around £500 more than the Sherco (was looking at 300's) is there other makes i should be considering around the same price bracket ? Say 5 - 6k Also beta 2 stroke or beta 4…

just wondering ? ... ya, been thinking too much, lol. what year ? if you was to go backwards in the years would you start with ? dont matter what brand, just the year that they all started being expert riders bikes, i say that because, for what little time i've spent on a trials bike,[04 Montesa] the bike spent most of the time riding me...[sheesh] im thinking of getting an older bike [read cheep] , something for me to ride on my farm,, play in the woods, ect. 98' and up ? if there was one to be found. weet

After the first round on the indoor world championship, what are peoples views on dougs performance? Is he past his best? Just not used to 2 stroke yet? Is his best to come? Are we simply convincing ourselves his best is to come based on his early days performance on a 2 stroke? Or perhaps he's just not up there with the best now? Whats your view?????????????????????????? One things for sure you can't knock him for his enthusiam for trying.

We need to give this old feet up nonsense a bit of re branding. Trials ? the general public think Trail and then associate it with MX. Last week I was assured that a lad at the wee boys school was mad keen on Trials found out he had a KTM. Today setting out another lad appeared on the hill having been told about our wee club from a friend I've known about 15 years, he had a KX 125. Any suggestions?

Does any one know, what the bolt and rubber washers/ spacers are from? I was unloading our bikes out of my van and noticed them, lying on the floor.
