Why have Scottish Television got a photo of you in their reception?

Hi guys, Im new here and to trials riding. I ride enduro but decided to get a gas gas 280 a few days ago. Im sure this kind of thing has been covered but i have searched and would like a bit more help. I know trials bikes are for trials etc but i would like to be able to jump and trail ride my trials bike. I love the low weight and how they react on trails. much closer to my mountain bike than my ktm enduro bike. But how much damage will i do using the bike for that?? I know the gearing is all wrong but what else? Yes the suspension is soft and not as strong as an enduro bike, but mountain bikes handle it so why cant a trials bike? Am i really going to have a pr…

We have all been there. In the heat of battle one miss step or aggressive underestimate and wham... That ball end of your lever has departed. Now your left with a very scary spike o death. Sure you could bring the two pieces to the welder but that's very 20th century. In the spirit of all of those wounded soldiers out there I have decided to go a different route. First i had to go make a mold of a good lever bar end. Art supply stores have two part silicone easily available. I am using oom 30 from the local Blick art supply store. what i wanna no is why are they so tight looks really poofy hugging all the parts off your body i mean it looks good on the lady's (nice lookin ones that is) but on us makes me feel sick can someone explain why they are so bloody tight

I've been thinking of buying Ryan Young's Tyre Beader but it never seems so important until you have to turn or change a tyre again. I put a new one on this morning in about 7 or 8 minutes, then it took me nearly an hour to get it back in the bead. Eventually managed it with a ratchet strap and a high power airline when I gave up on trying at home. I'm sure Michelin are making their tyres with a larger diameter these days. I didn't even use a lever to get it back on today, it went on by hand. Seems strange that on a road bike (where you've got nice painted alloys) the tyres can be a real b1tch to get on, but trials bikes (which could stand a bit more aggro) slip on no …

hello everyone,this is my first post so forgive me if it not done right. i have a 1997 gasgas.today i noticed coolant leaking from a bolt holding the c/head on(h/gasket blown?),so i thought tthis was a good time to investigate a rattle which i have been putting off.After removing the head,i noticed that the piston has quite a lot of clearance in the bore,i measured the piston and it is almost ,35mm smaller than the bore.I`m giessing this is the cause of the rattle.Small end brgs and big ends are ok.Because i`m selling the bike in a few months i dont want to spend a fortune on a rebore, i`m guessing that`l cost about 200quid and i aint loaded.The bike is in good nick an r…

Question for the technically minded. What is the effect of play in the rear suspension linkage and the shock mountings? Does it affect grip, or just delay when the power kicks in? Does it matter after the chain has taken up slack? And lastly, what is a normal amount of play with everything working correctly? Thanks in advance.

Hello now i put more brake fluid in the brake has no spring type of thing, brake just goes right to the throttle and has no brake? me and my dad bleed them and then put new fluid but still no brake and it still moves right to the throttle? Cheers

Does anyone on here know of or attend pre organised or regular practices held at Milton Buzzards practice ground in Milton Keynes? I have been in touch with someone at the Club by email who has said that if I join I can get access to the practice ground but that you can’t go alone for safety reasons, which is understandable. But he couldn't really offer any insight as to when anyone else is there. He said to check the Facebook page, I did this but the last post was in 2017….! So I don’t think I’ll find out much there.. Hi - I am looking to remove the headlight off my ‘21 Repsol 4RT and replace with a number board. It’s been suggested to me that the terminal block under the tank that takes the wiring from the headlight can just be unplugged, however this block has more than just the headlight wires going in to it. Can anyone help guide me in the right direction, please? Thanks.

My Rev 3 needs a new CDI. I have tested the stator and it seems fine on another bike but should i replace the stator too if the CDI is gone? P.s Does anyone know what CDi stands for?

I just bought a 1986 yamaha ty250 and this is my first time riding a trial bike, in my experience with many 2-stroke bikes, I find them very strong at the initial throttle, easy to wheelie, but on the ty250 i just bought, in 1st 2nd 3rd gear it is not strong, it just keeps slow speed, can't even do a wheelie, is that normal or is there something wrong with my bike?

Hello, I had my first trial today, Went really well But i felt i could have done with a little more traction in places, What tyre presure is best for mud/clay? Also i think i may need a rear tyre as mine has lost the square edges, ?!? Thanks

Maverick popped down to Hythe to fetch an almost spotless Chopper bicycle he had snatched on Ebay for himself, to ride when Mini-Maverick is out on his motorbike. On the way back he popped in at our place and Goose and Mrs Goose got there shortly afterwards. One thing led to another over the next few hours and ended up with the Scorpa coming out of hiding, for Maverick to play on and also for Goose who is 6'4" tall to have a go one. ........
