Just got xui full race Kevlar clutch kit with the 4 plates, it’s showing a 30 degree machining on the clutch pack operating fingers? Is this at the clutch pack end? Looks like it? does this entail going to a machine shop to have done? i thought it was at the other end of finger, bolt end, so I could just grind or file off? anyone got this set up to advise? No mention of this at all on website from shop or xui website, v f##d off...... Looks like I’m fubaared for this weekend..........this was supposed to be a drop in fix!! ??

How quickly do the new Xlight tyres wear compared with say a standard Michelin X11? I've been told that quotes "they are good but don't last as long." Is that true?

Hi guys Was searching the classifieds and came across this bike. 2012 Xprisa 280cc, apparently made in Spain and is a sherco copy. Price is ZAR 17 000 (about £1000 , $2000us).....not a bad price but what is it and how is it? (I dont plan on trading my EVO in, dont worry ). Cheers

I have acquired a 1986 XT250, which seems sound in wind and limb. It feels nice and sharp in the low gears, starts well hot or cold, but will not pull above 5000 rpm in top which seems to be around 55mph (its a KPH speedo!). My current theory - it's much cheaper than rebuilding the engone - is that it is overgeared. Does anyone know what standard gearing is? Has anyone tried different gearing? Is it a nice bike or should I have bought a Honda XR or XLS - be gentle wit me! Thanks Geoff

I am looking at getting a second hand set of xtrig triple clamps for my beta evo however i cant seem to find any info regarding how good they are, benefits of having them or even new sets for sale, if anyone has any info on them i would appreciate it.

Ok so I was reading the owners manual for my 9.9 yamaha outboard and they suggested using Yamaha Brand Ring Free. Apparently i cleans up the ring grooves of 2 strokes very nicely. 2 strokes as most of you know carbon up pretty easily and since they run at low speeds in the ring groove. Have any of you in the trials world used anything like this? It seems to shock the system but is their a price fo using outside of a marine enviroment? Hello All; new elderly member returning riding after 40 years; Just found a 1976 Yamaha TY175 the same bike I bought new in 1976; The bike is in good shape everything original; I’d like to slowly start updating it to make it a bit lighter and handle and ride better; nothing major at first may be tires, handlebars, levers, and foot peg replacement / repositioning; any advice or previous experiences in doing this; would be appreciated; my goal being older now; is to slowly bring back my riding skills; in woods behind my house and possibly enter a Observed Trials event down the road; I’m hoping some upgrading and simple mods; will help and make a more enjoyable riding experi…

Hello, I am a 59 year old that has ridden motorcycles for years. I had a 1986 Honda TLR200 Reflex and a 1997 Gas Gas Contact 200. I would like to get into riding very easy trials type riding in the woods around my house, not competing. Used trials bikes in my area of Northern Indiana are hard to find and I would like to start tinkering around in the woods asap as this COVID-19 stay at home order is driving me nuts. There are two within 90 minutes of my home. One is a 1975 Yamaha TY175 ($1,400) and the other is a 1974 Suzuki RL250 ($1,000). Both seem to be in the same shape. My question is which one do you think would be the better bike for me?…

I really do not understand what happened, but yesterday was an amazing day! First , I missed the local event on Saturday, due to work, that sucks cause I really wanted to ride a bit! So Sunday, I had lawn work to catch up on and a fence to repair. As it was about 99f here just after lunch time when I got into the truck to get supplies, I was soaked in sweat! And somewhat delerious! After returning home, I decided to jump on the bike for a quick spin if for nothing else but get some air moving, playing a bit on the slope in the back of the house and doing a couple of nose wheelies in the street, no harm and quiet for the neighbors. Well, to be honest I've been a bit of a tit... I bought some rather cheap custom graphics on ebay, they came and were awfully thin with the smallest of protective layer! These ones "linky" They needed a tiny amount of trimming to fit properly but they went on and looked pretty smart but after the first time they got wet the protective layer seems to have worn through and the graphics now feel like paper! I've sprayed allsorts on them, about 3 layers of lacquer and then a spray of silicon stuff... However, this seems to of worn through already! So... do any of you know of any sprays that leave a THICK protective layer? (bit like me really!) Many regards, Jamie

The forks on my Fantic 240 have always been a bit sticky so I stripped them last weekend & put new seals & 5W oil in them, they seemed a bit better but still not great. Tonight I took the top yoke off (a Fantic 200 one) and measured the centres of the holes compared with the bottom yoke - 0.6mm less, so I put the original 240 yoke on & the forks are fine. The problem is I fitted the 200 yoke to improve the handlebar position, so, my question is are yokes usually machined as pairs so they match exactly? or is the difference likely to be caused by tolerances? (and does anyone have a pair of 200 yokes for sale?)

I have seen this tool that looks like a sausage that is supposed to help fit a tubless rear tyre on the YOU HAVE USED WORDS OR A PHRASE WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THIS WEBSITE. PLEASE DELETE YOUR POST/TOPIC. DO NOT TRY TO CIRCUMVENT THE FILTERS IN PLACE ON THIS WEBSITE website. I always struggle at home trying to get a seal using straps and ropes etc. Has anybody used this tool? I have read the "How to" guide but it doesnt seem too clear. Does the kit come with two sealing rubbers for both sides of the tyre? Any info appraciated as I dont want to waste my money on a useless tool. Tony M

I used configure as a heading rather than "design". If you could configure a trials bike that afforded you the ability to raid the parts bins of any current trials bike manufacturer what would this "Parts Bin Raided" configured trials bike look like?
