So during this walkthrough of Kadlec's bike setup (turn on subtitles), at 1:15 in, where he talks about using a 'throttle ring'. As far as I'm aware, the only parts domino makes for trials that affect the throttle ramp up are either the slow (black) or fast (white) throttle tubes. Since the TRS comes with a fast throttle, clearly something else is at work here and I'm curious if anyone knows what it is. When you see him turn the throttle, it looks to me like it's wide open at about 1/8 turn, which is about a quarter turn sooner than the standard (fast) domino white throttle tube. Well iv just treated myself to the dvd and i wasnt impressed he does his stuff while some bloke is reading from a book it doesnt go into the timing of the manoeuvres i found it really poor thought he would have done a good dvd iv learnt miles more off youtube for free

Hello all. Long time listener, first time caller. Great place you have here. Have been going crazy looking to upgrade my 8 year old from a clutchless 50cc Beta Minitrial to something with a clutch and more than two gears... but not an adult sized bike. Any ideas? I'm having trouble making heads/tails of models like "Cadet, Rookie, Boy" etc as I cannot find any real info/specs on bike/frame/tire size on the official websites. Unfortunately I'm not in an area with a lot of trials motorcycles or I'd go out and have a look myself. Good morning all! I am new to trials riding and am in the market for a new bike and looking for input. While I am new to trials, I am not new to offload riding/racing. I have been racing hare scrambles and enduros here in the midwest for some time. While that is a great time, I am looking for a new challenge, a way to cross train and the ability to ride at home with something quiet. I am in the market for a new bike and am looking at Sherco/Scorpa, Beta and GG. I have found a deal on a new GG that is very intriguing but am skeptical to go the GG route as it sounds like parts are sometimes hard to come by. Hi all, will a WM3 X 18 X 40 rim be ok for a 4 inch trials tyre? I`m sure I used a wm3 on the back of my Matchless but it was a long time ago. Also does the "40" refer to spoke holes? If it does it`s no good for me. Thanks in advance, Hazel

Having ridden in the Costa Brava 2 day trial again this year, a great event, I was very impressed with the results system. Each bike had a "transponder" and score was entered at the end of the section, much the same as punch cards. This was then sent to central score system. Instant results!

I'm not all OEM anymore. Aftermarket knee. Anybody continue to ride with a new knee? I know some sports are just a no-go.

I've a Beta evo 300 that I fancy taking with me to next years iom TT. I'm going to do some off road stuff but I'd also like to use it to get about on. I don't fancy standing up for miles though. Has anyone any experience with aftermarket seats ? I have seen the Beta seat tank unit but it doesn't really look £500 worth.

Thinking of buying a trials bike to practice on and do the odd trial. Never ridden one before (only ridden motocross). What size bike would you recommend? 250, 300 etc. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi everyone looking for some advice .. So I wanted to get my son started in trials , He is 12 in Jan and is only around 4'6 (138cm ) roughly ... He is a bit small for his age I guess , reasonably strong and fit very active.. Anyway , wanted to get him riding , so the other day I saw a beta 80cc big wheel bike , which when I looked at it looked like it would be the right size for him with plenty of growing room .. well today I took him out with it , and the bike seems really big for him , he isn't able to start it yet , some because of lack of technique and some because the bike is big .. we pottered about for an hour or so, with me by his side , …

Hey All, just after some general advice on getting my son his first trial bike. He is just starting out and has had a handful of lessons and is now moving onto trials lessons. For a 9 year old what is the generally the first trial bike they move onto? Thanks in advance

hi, getting first trial bike soon, most likely sherco 300. (I'm 230lb) Good choice? Generally I am enduro rider (riding ktm 500 exc) but need a small bike for training everywhere including garage, house. Second question can I use alpinestars tech 10 boots for trial or better get tech T?

Just finished Graham Jarvis’s book. I really enjoyed it and there was a good bit on trials in there and how much Malcom Rathmell helped him. Very positive on the sport of trials. Well worth a read

how often can a x11 be turned before the tyre becomes stretched or won't hold air. Interested to know because they can keep a good square edge on the tire when turned regularly but wondered will this affect the tyre in any other way?

i try to look at the classifieds section and all i get is two 'featured' bikes ? the correct page flash's up but disappears , does this happen to anyone else ? andy
