I have had a pair of Gar boots for a while, but they are not waterproof, is there a product I can buy to keep water out. I have heard of liners that are available - any info on these. cheers

getting the bike ready for the first road trial of the season nad i'm re fitting my hebo tank between the yolks. Its been at the back of the garage for a couple of years and i cant remember which pipes go where so that the main tank is automatically refilled.. any ideas?

Hi all still searching for a bike , have seen a few sherco 290 & 250, 2007 - 2010 looks ok , and have been looking at a beta evo 250, 2012 .. The beta is a little bit more money , Im kinda looking on opinions on both bikes , pros and cons ? and how they ride whats good , whats not ... The most discussed curse of the entire trials bike: bleeding rear brakes. Actually it was a bit spongy, so I was flushing fresh fluid through, then trying to bleed it out better. 96 GasGas. The actuator is at the bottom, so the highest point on the master cylinder bore is above the inlet, and above the outlet. Done all the basics that are covered on every post: removed pads, shimmed pistons apart, syringe pressure from the caliper end. Pushed through as fast as possible. Piston bleed port port is uncovered. Work the pedal very small strokes. I am careful to not overstroke the piston (Ishy or Ringo's tip about drawing air in the piston seals on return stroke.) I would like to understand whom amongst us are right or left handed. Do you think that one has an advantage over the other with respect to riding trials. In the history of great trials riders does any body know for instance is Jordi L or R H, Dougie L or R H etc. Serious question with serious outcomes to the future of trials. M4RT

Hi guys, the missus is gonna treat me to some fork protectors,for being a good boy lately, has anyone had either the kevlar or carbon ones from BVM Moto, and what did they think? I think there's only a fiver difference in price, ta boys.

I've a Beta evo 300 that I fancy taking with me to next years iom TT. I'm going to do some off road stuff but I'd also like to use it to get about on. I don't fancy standing up for miles though. Has anyone any experience with aftermarket seats ? I have seen the Beta seat tank unit but it doesn't really look £500 worth.

How did people arrive at their current choice of bike or bikes ? I bought my TX300 Aprilia twinshock as there aren't many about. For twinshocks I'm not really that keen, it's more the social side of the event and catching up with old friends. So I try to buy bikes I didnt own at the time like the Aprilia. The TRS I have is my second one, I'd had a few Gas Gas pro's and I still think they are a very good bike but I wanted a change. I've had Betas before and find them difficult to ride, lots of people ride them well so it's not the bike. Tried a 4rt a couple of times but can't ride them, maybe if I stuck with it but I dont want to spend months learning to rid…

Hi all Technically this should be in a bike specific forum but as it covers two makes I hope you will forgive me. Basic question: Can you get a bigger barrel and piston for either a SY250 or a 315r? I am looking into a newer bike and just wondered if anyone knows if these modifications are possible. Cheers Scott

I've been riding Beta for a few years now, 2017 300 for 3-400 hours and now a 2020 for another 360 hours. Prior to that I had a 2015 (I think it was) Sherco 290 (disliked that one) and before that a 2007 GasGas 250 (which I still have but haven't ridden for ages). I'm thinking about stepping onto a TRS RR 300 but it would be a step into the unknown as I have never ridden one and don't know anyone within 300km with one I could borrow. I'm OK with that - there's no "bad" bikes out there these days so I'm comfortable buying one un-ridden - it'll be trials bike, all good.
