Hello to all . I am Stathis , live in Greece , ride a st 250 2009 , own it from January . I love learning trials ( enduro rider before). The only problem i had , 3 broken kickstart levers in 20 days. Retarded the ignition a litle and put on a kikcstart lever from gas gas - its ok now. I like very much this forum - i read every day. There are no many people in my country ride trials and no competitions. I hope this will change , i thing everyone who ride a moto , must learn to ride a trials moto first . Sorry for my english .

Hi i am new to trialing and wanted to know which bike to get for my 12 yr old son, i have been offered a gasgas 125 for a very good price but understand he might not be able to compete till he is 13, but apparantly some clubs will let him compete at 12 on a 125cc i didn't want to buy a 80cc only to have to buy a bigger one in a few months. Ever since learning about motorcycles I've loved the idea of small, light, low power bikes that are fun. I got started on an XR-75 as a full grown adult and I've owned a variety of dirt bikes and other motorcycles. Most recently a honda sl125 which I put trials tires on figuring it will be as close as I ever get to owning a legit trials machine. I had that bike for a couple years and k used it on the street as well as back roads and trails but it was not one you could wheelie confidently. Just a quick hello. I used to ride trails many moons ago. OSSA MAR, then a Green Gripper and finally a Majesty 320 from John Shirt in Buxton. Really enjoyed the time, 1973 onwards if I remember correctly, as a member of Manchester 17. First person who spoke to me at a trial at a small quarry on Hayfield Road between Chinley and Hayfield, was Dave Rowlands. Super chap and a gentleman, sadly no longer with us. If I recall, Dave Thorpe won the trail with a clean sheet. I struggled to get between the sections let alone get up any of them. I'm returning to trials after 25 years and am back on my trusty (not really, now a bad running nightmare) TY175. I found a few other enthusiasts and now someone selling new trials bikes.... 5 of us will try having the first competition in 20 years (as the sport died out...) at a four wheel drive event in an old quarry. Otherwise too spoilt for choice for amazing bits to ride in. Big thanks to Ian Allaway of JAMsport in Surrey who lent me a demo bike for the morning to put the grin back on my face when I was recently in UK!

Evenin' all.....I'm an ex moto-crosser, who's, at a certain age where pain is something I would rather avoid at any cost!. So, I've turned to trials, and absolutely loving it. I'm intending to get out with the local clubs very regularly next yr, (nnrd,Bognor,Wothing clubs ect). If anybody would like meet up and do some local events together, that would be great. Just bought myself a 2001 gasgas250 and my boy a 2006 gasgas125 in the hope of us learning some skills. Just had our first day at Bob MacGregors Trial Accademy and hope to enter a trial or 2 at some point.

Hello All, I'm another one that's been away from trials for 20 years. Started on the good old TY80 then through TY125, Fantic 200 and Beamish 325. Now got a 1976 TL125 to restore my faith and try and get a bit of confidence back. Have now got 3 boys aged 4, 6 and 9 - all of which have shown an interest, so hoping to pick up some tips on suitable bikes for them and obstacles to build for all of us. Space not a problem. I'm sure the 9 year old and six year old will be better than I ever was given 3 months at it. Hopefully get to know some likeminded souls too. Cheers

Hi I'm new to the trials scene I have just acquired an Ossa MAR 1972 mark1, it's in reasonable condition for its age and appears to be original and in unmolested condition. I am looking for sources of parts particularly in Australia. At the moment I need a new front axel & front fork springs & rebound spacers. Any help will be received with open arms. I have looked at some overseas web sites for the springs, most of them say will fit except for MAR Thanks ausy steve

1999 cota 315r has a broken lower right fork bracket. The front forks are Paoili 38mm. It seems to be common for the clamp to break as this one has but this one also has a hair line crack between the oil chamber and the axle. Kind of weird finding an oil leak in your front axle, anyway trying to find a replacement for it, or if that does not work out a replacement set of lowers or another set of forks. As a newbee I am not in contact with anyone involved with trials, and any advise is welcomed. If you know if the Beta 38mm lower will work please let me know which model it is. Hi, I am embarking on a rebuild of my son's Montesa Cato 247: Engine & Frame number 21M22865,making it manufactured between October 1976 & March 1977. I have a question about the swing arm. The bike is fitted with a standard swing arm but I'd prefer to fit a longer one for trials use. My question is where could I source one or alternaticvely how much longer is a trial SA so I could consider lengthening the standard one. Thanks

Hi, I live in South Wales and bought a 1998 Gas Gas TX 270 to get me up the mountain to fly my paraglider. I am now having more fun riding the bike than flying my wing, would like to know if there are any trials clubs in south Wales. Thanks Andy

My google searches for information kept pointing me here, so I thought I'd better get involved! I am rebuilding my dad's Bultaco Sherpa which he had planned to do himself, but unfortunately he died unexpectedly a few months ago. Apart from the Sherpa I have a few Greeves trials bikes (I am on the Greeves Riders Association committee) and also ride a Royal Enfield 350 Bullet on occasions. I hope to find some help here for my Bultaco project, and of course if I can offer any assistance in return then I'd love to.

Hi, I'm going to give in to my back of mind gremlins and go out an get my first bike, trials of course. As I live a very remote part of the country I'm hoping that I can find some secret sweet spots that's the locals use/allow me to practice on. I have no kit or bike yet (or garage yet but that's being sorted) so soon il be out dabbing every rock and root in Cumbria. If there are any other riders who wish to share their breadth of knowledge id be more than happy to take advice and buy a beer. Scott

Hello from the upper peninsula of michigan.Have been riding offroad since 1975 (1st bike was a ty250 and had no idea it was a trials bike)Have raced mx and a lot of enduros and scrambles with some ice racing and flat track in there.I live to ride for real.I took a trip down to Missouri this spring and picked up my 1st modern trials bike,a 2015 GG 300 pro.With a bike like this the only excuse I have for poor performance is me.I have done 2 meets in wota (Wisconsin observed trials association)in intermediate and found my trials skill lack pretty bad.I managed to finish with 2 men behind me in my 2cd trials meet but have a lot to learn.I figure I will never be more than a in…
