Hi. Im Tim and have not long got into trials riding with a local club. My bike is a 1965 Greeves TFS which I have recently put back together after being in boxes for the last 35 years. Its interesting riding the same sections as the modern bikes, though I am riding the beginners routes for the time being!

Hi, I have just started to get the old girl going again after the kick start shaft snapped!!!!!! Very upset. Well I have it in bits and now the hard bit starts! How do I find a new kick start shaft or have one made? I would be interested in another engine if I could find one, its a forward kicking FM 237. Look forward to sorting this out and getting back out riding her again. Hope you have a good Christmas! You can see what I have done with my holiday so far!!!!

  9. Hi All, Just moved to Maidenhead, well about a year ago anyway. Riding a road bike up and down to work everyday but thinking of starting something new in the way of bikes. Thinking about trials and green laning. Green laning seem to be knocked down further and further especially in this part of the country. So Trials could be it. Does anyone of you have some info on clubs around this area and also what bike should I be looking at. Now don't start yelling the latest and greates makes at me I am pretty low budget and even think I should start with some LDT's. My budget is around a thou and I am not shy of doing some work on a bike. Let me know. cheers Dennis

Hello All! Just wanted to say hello, introduce myself and express my appreciation for such a great site! My name is Christian Otero, been living in Northern California's San Francisco Bay Area all of my life, have raced vintage MX with AHRMA since '93 and am presently infatuated with getting back into riding trials (vintage for the moment) as, with each passing year, the prospect of serious injury due to riding over my head in MX becomes considerably less and less appealing! I'm presently getting a Bul 199a competition-ready and have been quite busy combing the forums looking for ideas and guidance to make my new (old) ride as efficient and reliable as can be. This r…

Hello. I have a few friends who ride trials but until now I have resisted the temptation to join them. Now, after 34 years of road riding I have decided to get my first trials bike. Cunningly, I have waited until I have a bad back, arthritic hip, and 3 stone of surplus weight before taking the plunge, so my (and everybody else's) expectations are quite low. Nevertheless, my last two outings have been fantastic, and the people I have met have been really helpful. I think I'm going to enjoy this.

Rode schoolboy trials on my Yamaha TY175 and a Beamish RL250 Suzuki aged 12 ~ 16, at 16 got a road going 50cc and left trials behind in 1984. Then came back to it in 1989/90 with a Yamaha TY250 mono and did a couple of years then totally gave it up UNTIL 3 weeks ago when at home minding my own business watching Discovery channel on sky people trials riding on Petrol Heads and for some unknown reason something in my brain went DING I want to do that again, so after trawling through the Auto trader ended up with a Gas Gas `04 280 Pro for what I thought was a fair price. After not much discussion with Her indoors I came home at 11.00pm after a 230mile round trip with the …

Good evening all, just recently bought my first trials bike for something to keep me active over winter and hopefully bike fit for racing in the Scottish Superbike Championship next year. I bought a Sherco 290 2003 last weekend from a local lad and got an hour or so on it on Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed it! Here's a picture:- http://postimg.org/image/jsbozr2vj/ So does anyone know of any decent spots local to Aberdeen to try out? Thanks

Hello, I have been intrigued by this sport for many years and looking for a way to get into it. I found a local bike and wonder if it is worth $500? I am really too old to go full bore so an older bike to just practice on near the house would be great. Is this bike worth it and can I get parts some place without too much hassle? How about reliability? I really don't even know what year it is but it is Itialian. Thanks, Tim
