Hi there, I am completely new to trailing and I am looking to buy a sherco 125 2008 paxau and not really sure it It will be suitable? I.e is it fast enough ? Baring in mind I used to race MX Thankyou! Help is much appreciated

  2. Hi, I Just bought a Beta Techno Dougie Lampkin replica. It was in terrible condition as the previous owner neglected the bike big time. I had to buy it, as what a waste of a bike. But to be honest, i think i paid a bit too much for the bike in the condition it was in (£600). On closer inspection nearly every bearing has gone on it and will all need replacing. I am on the lookout for a wokrshop manual. I have the owners manual but it doesn't really go into too much detail. I have started the restoration of the bike and i am finding it hard to source parts for it. I will try to upload some pics when i can.

Believe it or not, I brought it home in the back of the estate. Lying down, front wheel off. Anyway, glad to make your acquaintance, hope I'll be seeing more of you now I have my first ever trials bike. Pretty sure its a '91 Beta 250 Zero. It's in a bit of a state but it runs... Screwdriver.

Can anyone advise the weight of my 1970 244cc Bultaco Sherpa please, also apart from eBay would like to purchase a manual so I can do some "tinkering" with the new love of my life , taking it for a daytime mot , testing station said, no need for lights, horn, just a number plate, adhesive will suffice ! My thanks in advance for any help

  5. Hi all, looking for some serious help here please. my father has been riding trials bikes for a few years(50 odd to be precise) mostly unit Bsa and Bultacos 199A etc. in a bid to have an easier day, less maintenance, lighter bike he would like to move to something newer. not bothered what make at all montesa, sherco, beta, really do not care, what he does struggle with is the speed at which everything happens, hydraulic clutches, brakes that really work, speed/sharpeness of acceleration etc etc. he has borrowed a 2001 montesa 315, works very well and he seems to like it, however it is too quick!!!. some of this we accept we cannot change and it will be perseverance.…

I'm Geoff from the uk, have a montesa 4rt, I'm new to trials riding, though have ridden a few over the years. I'm feeling my feet and picking up skills slowly in preparation for entering a few novice trials, and sorting through my bike getting it crisp, while learning how it's put together. I have a lot to learn...but look forward to the journey. Thanks for reading my intro.

  7. Had my arm bent up my back by a friend to consider getting a trials bike. It's all new to me and never done it before so came to trial central by recommendation.

  8. Started by oggfueler,

It's been a while since I've rode anything on two wheels but a couple of friends have stirred up the feelings again. Though the plan is to go trail riding, I've been looking to try out trials. Hopefully with some avid weekend riding and a new diet/workout, I can regain some of my old form... it's hard to stay in shape behind a desk, lol. I'll be posting questions here and there and would appreciate any input you seasoned riders could offer an old dog looking to learn some new tricks. Kawika

Hi all I'm pretty new to the whole forum thing, but thought it would be a good place to pick up some helpful info .. so I did a bit of riding about 16 years ago, I really enjoyed being off road and started to pick things up pretty fast , but for one reason or another , I ended up selling my bike , and moving to the road .. Well in the past few weeks , or so I was showing my son some old photos of me going over a few obstacles ( he is only 9 ) and I was talking to him about trials , one thing led to another and before long we was watching youtube , I even made him watch a few rounds of kick start .. lol.. anyway, to cut to the point , s…

  15. Started by tntrials,

I've been riding motorcycles for a few decades now but I don't think I've ever ridden a Trials bike. I have been amazed by the things they can do and now I live in a place with lots more vertical and rocky off road scenery, I believe a Trials bike would be perfect! Before I purchase one I would like to get some recommendations. I'm much more familiar with the Big 4 Japanese marques and street bikes in general. Gas Gas, Beta, Montesa, Sherco.....very unfamiliar to me. What is reliable and easy to get parts for in the US? I'd like to get a nice used bike first. Where would one look for a Trials bike, there weren't too many on eBay or my local Craigslist. I look forw…

Apart from.that theres fuel and spark and air so shoukd start.lol ... look forward to hereing from you all Re…

Hey everybody! I'm a semi-pro Sportbike Freestyle rider who's looking for a new chalenge! I've been intrigued by Trials for years, and I want to buy my first Trials bike. I have really good throttle and brake control compared to most novice trials riders due to my experience with Sportbike Freestyle and I'm wondering which bike I should start on. There's a 1993 Gas Gas GT12 and a 1992 Gas Gas GT32 for sale somewhat close by. They're both priced at $1200 (thought I'm sure I can talk them down.) Which one would be a better starter bike for someone such as myself? I'm not a big guy (5'10", 180lbs) but like I said I think I would take to this pretty quickly due to my experi…

Hi All, I've had a 2001 Sherco for 3 years now and never really rode it. Might have run 2 tanks of gas through it in my backyard. (must have been a good 20 minutes worth) I have a KDX and have done a few enduros, but I'm not one of the hardcore bunch. C senior midpack rider if I even finish. I own a small business, have 3 small kids, and really can't afford to whack any more trees like I did last year. I mussed up my knee last September (that's right, a year ago) and if I don't pay attention, I'm still limping around. Anyway, (Can you tell I my fingers move right along on this thing) I helped a bit setting up for the Berwick national 2 weeks ago (ok, I cut the stakes for …
