Hi all, Just a quick query. When I was a lad (back in the late 80's) I remeber having a brilliant trials training video and I am pretty sure it was by an American by the name of Jack Stykes or similar. I'm getting back into trials and was just wondering if anyone had heard of this video or if there are still any copies of it in the world? Thanks for looking Torquil

Hi all i am really new to trials and was just wondering if anyone had any tips on how to do slow wheelies standing up. Another thing was hopping around, i can lift the front a little bit but can't move it from side to side, i suppose that is to do with balance aswell i don't know. I also need some tips on how to position myself better when turning really tight. sorry for the questions, cheers Bradley.

This year I want to attempt a 10 mile wheelie on my Pro 300 but I have some concerns... I have done a 3.6mile wheelie before which ended when I ran out of road but even at this point I was starting to get pain in my hands but I think this can be sorted with a pair of proper road gloves and some pre-wheelie hand-care. The main worry is the engine, with bigger bikes (usually 4-strokes) the engine can be damaged due to being starved of oil because all the oil rushes to the back of the gearbox, would this be the case with a trials bike on such a long wheelie? Im not worried about the rev's as Ill be doing it in 5th and 6th gear using fairly low revs. All the best Tom

Hello everybody. I ride about 6 months and get some skills in splatters, jap zaps and rear/front wheelie, but i still have problems in positioning myself on bike while doing that. Problem is in my foot and rear brake pedal. I dont know how is right, but i often hold my toe near pedal not above it and when i bend knees before jump i have more movement of my toes. But!.. When i need to use rear brakes i do not have my toe on the pedal cause cant instantly react in a split second and put it on the pedal, so im making dubs or rear wheel becomes front wheel with bike upside down Not cool! Do i need hold my foot while jumping on the pedal or what? Im just exhausted already…

While out practicing what is the main way you's practice? Do you focus on certain areas each week like hitting big steps, hoping etc or do you just ride about and hit whatever takes your fancy. im wondering what way people find it best to increase your skill level to become a better rider. thanks
