  1. Hi All, events suitable for E & D class riders are really taking off this year. In Yorkshire we're spoilt for choice. Clubs running a route suitable for Oset's include Yeadon Guiseley, Spen Valley, Horsforth, West Leeds, Bumpy, Ripon & Richmond. There's also similar events run by Earl Shilton, Kent Youth, Nene Valley & Surrey Youth. As Frazer has said, keep an eye on Oset's new website. Events are being added all the time.

  2. Jeremy, I didn't vote either way on this rule change, so I've no axe to grind. Also, I had no idea what was on the agenda until they were handed out about 10 minutes before the AGM started. I'm not too sure what you mean regarding motives etc?

The No Stop point was raised, a few argued for and few against. Then it went to an open vote and there were significantly more in favour than against.

  3. Yeadon Guiselel DMC held their AGM last night and voted all club trials will go No Stop for 2012.

Also confirmed was two seperate routes for the small wheels and EClass courses.

D & C class riders on electric or petrol bikes not quite ready for the main small wheels class are more than welcome to ride the E route until they feel ready to move up.

  4. At that height he should be fine. My boys were riding 12.5's at that size.

My experience with riding out with my boys has been positive. If you can control your child and are respectful of other people and the land you use, you shouldn't have any problems.

Most people we bump into are intrigued with the bikes. I always take the time to explain the bikes Eco credentials, silent, no oil, zero pollution etc. That always seems to go down very well.

Take the plunge, you won't regret it.

  5. Hi all, The DT Smith Trophy Trial run by Yeadon Guiseley DMC this Sunday 21st November will include a conducted route specifically aimed at riders with class E licences on Oset electric trials bikes.

Location: Addingham Moorside, Off Brown Back Lane, BD20 0NL. The trial starts at 10.30 am, entries available on the day.

  6. As said in previous post just got little boy brand new 12.5, came in box and just had to attatch handlebars and adjust brakes, the question I have is the chain seems quite tight as the bike doesnt free wheel without some resistance from the chain, its not been used yet as its for xmas its just sat in bedroom, just seems strange when i push it to move it forwards or backwards almost feels bit knotchy.

    is this normal when new?

Yes that's normal, they don't free wheel like a normal bike in neutral. It should free up a bit, once it's been used. Try and avoid pushing them backwards, I'm not sure it does the motor any good.
