  1. thanks its so tight in there (jokes aside) that its hard to get a good idea what the F is going on. i will try again and take a look. it could be something touching it
  2. any reason for the very loud whistling sound from my fan? sounds almost like a loud screech
  3. thank you for your advice. well, i pumped the clutch abotu 10 times and that seemed to fix the problem. i then bled the system and the issue is solved. maybe old clutch fluid? anyway, glad it is solved, for now at least.
  4. engaged clutch and switched into first gear. the bike just lunged forward like the clutch was not even engaged. tried a few more times and seems like the clutch is not engaging. there is fluid in the reservoir at the bar. any thought what i should do or look at? thanks in advance
  5. i dont have an answer to that, but after a tip over in a puddle yesterday my fan "whistles" when it runs. Any thoughts on this? i was considering just unhooking the fan as i ride the bike in TRAILS, not trials, so it gets a fair bit of air over the rad.
  6. thanks all for your input. i raised the clip 2 notches and it fixed it. so i am 3 from the top and bike runs great. still cant figure out why i am getting so much atf being pushed out the overflow hose though each time i shut the bike off. i just put 3 hours on the current fluid and dumped it out and it seemed like barly 100 cc's. strange, right? if i put in the 380cc it just runs out the overflow after killing the engine. i drained every last drop, tilted it on clutch side wtih clutch engaged. thoughts?
  7. thank you one question. is there some specific way to check fuel flow into carb? i removed carb yesterday and cleaned it better then my dishes, so it should be perfect. just want to make sure i am checking on fuel flow properly. thanks in advance
  8. took bike out for first time last night and all was great until my carb starting acting funny. at idle it felt like it was sputtering. revs seemed very unsteady. when i was riding and kind of coasting along the bike started to have kind of a mind of its own. i was able to feel the bike powering up and depowering. hope i am describing this properly. any thoughts what i should do?
  9. ok, so i have added the atf-f up to 1/2 way on the glass. after riding the bike and shutting it down i see the red atf being pushed out the clear "overflow" hose and onto the ground. why is it doing this? thanks
  10. small funnel: GENIUS another question. took carb off bike. i see there is a hose that loops from one side to the other and runs under the carb. the lowest point of that hose the rubber is missing (looks like it was melted away) or maybe it is supposed to be like that. can someone confirm a: what that hose does, and b: is it supposed to have a hole in it at the bottom most part?
  11. got bike today, totally stoked. so i drained the atf, now, getting it back in is an impossibility in that tiny hole. any comments on how to easily get 380cc of atf-f in there? thanks
  12. wow, you all have been so helpful. i am still a littel confused but i think i will go with pump gas (highest octane avail, 97) and go 80:1 and get ATF-F tran fluid. Will start with 380 cc. bike arrives on tuesday. i am so stoked i can barely sleep. i hope its all i expect it to be and more. really looking to use it for TRAILS riding as that is what my crew does. however, the trails have some nice technical sectoins that should be a blast with this bike. any other good info for a total newb to trials bikes? thanks
  13. ok, this may open up a can of worms or just show how ignorant i am to these bikes. awaiting the arrival of my bike but trying to get my act together so when it arrives i can get on it and ride. i was told to ONLY use 380cc atf-f. then someone said 600 and the spec book says 400. totally confused. also, i was told 94 octane gas is fine premixed 80:1 to 100:1 (depending what kind of riding i am doing). then i was told i have to use special 112 octane gas. Which is it? thank you in advance for helping me sort this out. want to do right to the bike and not F it up first day.
  14. hello totally new to this. i have read somewhere you have to be careful kickstarting these bikes. i am currently riding a yz125 and i have no problems starting it with just a good solid kick. i read that the gasgas though shoudl be kicked over very differntly. can somone please point me in the direction here so i dont f-up my bike? thanks so much.
