Hello. I've been running all over the place this morning trying to get 10w/ 30 oil,at various local bike shops. Most didn't have anything but the last shop I was told Elf 10w/40 would be fine. I bought it. It says on the back it garanties precise gear changing on 2 strokes. What do you think? Squid

Hello Amberlefty. Your right. I didn't realise the gasket actually sits inside the mouth of the exhaust port until I got down on me back to have a look inside. I had a fresh one to pop inside. Started the girl up this morning but I dont like the sound Iam getting from the cylinder head, sound a klackerty, if you know what I mean. I wanted to get a 175 head but not right now due to cash, but I guess it needs doing, fresh piston and all the gubbins. Thanks for dropping a line. Cheers Squid.

Thanks for those replys Max and Andy T. Do I have to tighten and squash the gasket, so the exhaust support bracket lines up with the frame mount. Sorry to go on, Iam totally ignorant of these things and just dont know how much force to use.

Hello. Here we go again. Right. Im putting me refreshed exhaust back on. The gaskets the same diameter as the mouth of the exhaust pipe, so when I offer it up, trying to get the bolt through the support is not possible. I've been jiggling and staring at it for about 10 minutes. Please, what am I doing wrong. Cheers Squid

I've litterally just finnished putting the head back on as a friend of mine left his torque wrench with me but I just couldn't get me head around the conversions. He talked me through it over the phone. I didn't think I was going to get an answer to this post,impatient but Iam itching to get out. Thats another great reply though from yourself cheers. Hello Again. I've already asked about the Rayer kit. Now has anybody used the 200 kit upgrade? From Trail and Trial? From a standard 125 how much tinkering would be needed to make this upgrade run smooth? Cheers Squid.

Hello I've still got me oil tank on my TY125. Will take the thing off when I change the cylinder later. I'd like to drain the old oil out and refresh. The thing is can I just undo the diddy wire clip on the lowest black tube, pull off and let drain without getting an air block in me pipe. Cheers Squid.

Hey Mattylad If I had the spare cabbage in me pocket I'd zip up there and get me suckers on it. Your right though, the price on the Kit I saw is a bit steep. I havn't looked at that mijossi site in while but I'll drop you a mail anyway to see what that report says. Cheers Squid

Hello. Has anyone out there had any experience with these hedgehog looking cylinder kits for a ty 125. Theres one going for 450 euros. Looks like a fins been chipped off but meant to be in good condition. Its a 200cm3. I think its only the french that used them as 175's were not imported to france, so I dont expect any answers but had to ask anyway. Cheers Squid. The marks are deep and random and you'd have to of been wacking it with a chisel. I guess I need to replace it? Cheers. Squid.

Hello out the there. On taking my cylinder head off to clean any carbon that may be stuck to the ( dome shape)? Iam quite shocked to find its heavily scorred and pitted. Looks nasty, pock like. Could anyone tell me what may of caused this and what I need to do. Thanks for any help. Squid

Hello all. This ones just a curio and you'd probably think why even consider it but I'll ask anyway. Is it possible to but a Sammy Miller b40 tank or a similar retro tank on a Ty frame. Its just I love the look of the pre 60's. Iam legal on the road with mine and i'd like to vintagify it, alloy mudguards and a few other diddy things. I have banged me head a few times in the woods so maybe thats my excuse. Cheers Squid.
